Where magic lives | Watfard Palace Theatre Open Day

Few weeks ago I was commissioned to visit Watford Palace Theatre to photograph their annual open day and workshops. Little did I know, it was like going on a secret backstage adventure. I love old buildings and backstages (and weirdly basements and attics), so I felt like Charlie in a chocolate factory whilst walking around this glorious 112 year old Edwardian building.

I loved getting lost in a maze of amazingly messy prop rooms, colourful costume shops and dressing rooms. One thing I wasn’t expecting was a huge amount of climbing equipment and ropes! This place is truly magical!

Here’s a gallery of photos from the day. Hope they will make you feel the atmosphere that I felt on the day.
