Wardown House, Museum and Gallery Shows and performances | The Culture Trust Luton

I’ve been working with The Culture Trust Luton for a long time. Over the years I photographed many shows and performances. It’s not a secret that I love to shoot on location. Wardown House Museum and Gallery  is probably my favourite place to photograph. So today I’d like to show you some of the shows I photographed at Wardown back in 2019, 2020 and also some recent ones. Some of these shows are reoccurring and I believe you can still buy tickets to see them (check out their website for more info). I also had a chance to meet Santa there as well as Mrs Claus and a real Elf ;)

A little bit about the place: Wardown House, Museum and Gallery is a Grade II listed building situated in the beautiful grounds of Wardown Park.Formerly the home of the Scargill family, then a World War I military hospital, the house is now a museum. But not just any museum, this house transports you back in time, to a Victorian family home. Every room tells a story, with interactive displays, a treasure trove of local curiosities and the largest hat collection in the UK!

This place really does take you back in time. I think it’s a brilliant idea to incorporate live performances into spaces like this, where an audience can feel like a part of the show. The surroundings, furniture, smell and just the entire place has been renovated beautifully.
